Facts:
Good Samaritan Hospital has recently completed a $70 million acute Women’s and Children’s Center. The new facility is a four story structure with approximately 110,000 square feet. The Center’s addition includes 101 private rooms, a 52-bed NICU and 5 LDR suites.

The building is served by a high efficiency central plant located in the basement of the structure which includes primary/secondary chilled water/heating water piping, high efficiency centrifugal chiller/boilers and a complete DDC system.

The air side of the system consists of custom “Govenair” penthouse units incorporating complete heat recovery utilizing a “run-around” loop from the exhaust to the outside air. Individual room control is accomplished utilizing constant volume hydronic reheat boxes for accurate room balances.
